Vertical Blinds in Mumbai

The right answer for wide windows and sliding doors.

Vertical blinds are what you fit when the opening is wider than it is tall — sliding balcony doors, corner glazing, and long office window runs where a single roller blind would need a tube the width of a room. The vanes stack to one side or split to the centre, and tilt through their full arc so you can hold the daylight and lose the glare at the same time.

They are also the most repairable window covering we sell. A vane damaged by a door, a pet, or a monsoon gust is a single replacement part rather than a new blind — which is exactly why offices, schools, and hospitals have kept specifying them for thirty years.

Benefits

Why choose vertical blinds?

Built for wide openings

Spans sliding doors and long window runs that no single roller blind can cover.

Full tilt control

Angle the vanes to cut low western sun without shutting the window down completely.

Vanes replace individually

One damaged vane is a spare part, not a new blind — the cheapest long-term window covering there is.

Works with an open door

Vanes swing rather than flap, so a balcony door can stay open for the breeze.

Washable PVC option

PVC vanes wipe down completely — the standard choice for kitchens, clinics, and schools.

FAQs

Vertical Blinds — common questions

Bottom weights and a connecting chain stop most of it, and that is standard on every blind we fit. Directly under a strong AC throw or a ceiling fan on full, some movement is physics — if that is the position, a roller or zebra blind is the more comfortable choice and we will say so at measurement.

Yes, and this is the main reason to choose them. We keep vane fabrics traceable by order, so a vane replaced two years later still matches. Compare that with a roller blind, where a tear means a new blind.

Vertical, in almost every case. The opening is wide, the door needs to be usable, and vanes swing aside where a roller has to be fully raised. Rollers win on a standard window; verticals win on a door.

Fabric vanes take a vacuum brush or a damp wipe. PVC vanes can be taken down and washed properly, which is why kitchens and clinics get PVC. Neither needs the dismantling that venetian slats do.

Yes — the track is bent to the bay angle so the blind runs continuously instead of meeting in a gap at the corner. It is measured on site because bay angles are never the angle on the drawing.
