Roman Blinds in Mumbai
The softness of a curtain with the discipline of a blind.
A roman blind is a curtain that behaves like a blind. It rises into deep horizontal folds rather than rolling onto a tube, so you get the fabric, texture, and softness of drapery in a covering that sits flat and tidy in the window recess.
It is the choice for bedrooms, living rooms, and hotel rooms where a roller blind would look too plain and full curtains would eat the wall. Every blind is stitched to the window with the fold spacing worked out for the drop, and can be lined for blackout or left unlined to filter light through the weave.
Benefits
Why choose roman blinds?
Fabric that furnishes the room
Linens, cottons, textured weaves, and prints — the look of drapery in a blind's footprint.
Blackout lining available
A full blackout lining behind the face fabric, for bedrooms and hotel rooms that need real darkness.
Folds tailored to the drop
Fold depth is calculated per window so the stack looks deliberate instead of bunched.

No looped cord within reach — the right specification for nurseries and kids' rooms.
Coordinates with soft furnishings
Made in the same fabric as your cushions, bed runners, or curtains elsewhere in the room.

FAQs
Roman Blinds — common questions
Yes — the folds stack at the top and cover roughly 15–20% of the drop. On a short window that matters, so we either face-fix the blind above the frame so the stack sits on the wall, or suggest a roller instead. It is the one thing worth deciding before you fall in love with the fabric.
The fabric can, with a blackout lining. Light will still enter around the edges of any blind that sits inside a recess — for a true blackout bedroom we fit the blind outside the recess with a generous overlap, or pair it with side curtains.
Not really. Fabric picks up cooking grease and holds humidity, and roman blinds cannot be wiped down. Faux wood venetians or PVC verticals are the honest recommendation for those rooms.
Vacuum with a brush head, and dry clean the fabric when needed — the blind unhooks from its headrail for that. They are not machine washable; shrinkage would ruin the fold spacing.
Yes, we can make up in customer-supplied fabric provided it is stable enough to hold a fold. We check the weight and weave first and tell you if the fabric will sag rather than pleat.
